WAIPAHU, HI (February 21, 2014)- The fourth-ranked Hawai`i Pacific Women's Tennis Team (6-0) defeated Chaminade (0-6) in dominate fashion Friday afternoon. The Sea Warriors took all the points for a 9-0 sweep.

HPU got off to a hot start by taking all three doubles matches. The Sea Warriors dropped just one point in the three matches. The duo of Lorena Gheorghe and Magdalena Smejova were perfect at first doubles 8-0 while Vivian Hansen and Carrie Shuler did the same at third doubles.

Momentum continued for HPU in singles action.

Smejova coasted at first singles 6-1, 6-0 as Hansen and Schuler each swept their opponents 6-0, 6-0 at fifth and sixth singles respectively. All other Sea Warriors won their matches in straight sets.
HPU returns to action on March 7th to face the University of Idaho at the Hawai`i Tennis Complex in Manoa. First serve is scheduled for 9:00 a.m.
