Box Score 2 OAKLAND, CA (March 25, 2014) – The Hawai'i Pacific Baseball Team (15-10, 9-8) split Tuesday's doubleheader with Academy of Art (7-18, 3-10) with an offensive outburst in game one. HPU beat the home team 11-1 in the opener, but lost game two 4-1.
The Sea Warriors jumped out to an early lead on 
Codey Ellenwood's RBI double in the top of the first inning, but the Urban Knights scored to even the game in the third inning.
HPU quickly regained the lead and never looked back. In the fourth inning, 
Jordan Oshiro singled through the left side of the infield to give HPU a 2-0 lead. The Sea Warriors added two more runs on another Ellenwood double in the fifth.
The lead was extended in the late innings, HPU added single tallies in the seventh and eighth innings, highlighted by an Oshiro RBI double. After pecking away all game, HPU broke out in the ninth to the tune of five runs.
Starter 
Luke Laurita was excellent on the hill, throwing seven innings while just yielding one run. 
Jeremy Fujimoto threw two scoreless innings in relief.
Ellenwood continued his monster season with two doubles and four RBI in the game. At the conclusion of game two, the junior was hitting .398 with 10 doubles and 22 RBI, all which rank top-four in the PacWest.
Kevin Lenik, Oshiro, and 
Lanan Rice-Kashima each had two hits in the series opener.
Game two was the opposite of game one, with HPU unable to get the big hit. Although HPU was kept off the board until the ninth inning, the Sea Warriors had opportunities; nine runners were stranded on base through the first eight innings.  
The home team struck for a run in the first inning and then for three more in the sixth to take a 4-0 lead.
In the ninth, 
Derek Nakasato singled home Anu Kapana, who had doubled, to get HPU on the board.
Nakasato went 4-5 in the game to lead HPU; 
Chad Bolibol also recorded a multi-hit game. Tre Haliburton-Goes looked good in relief, tossing two and a third perfect innings.
The teams will play another doubleheader on Wednesday in Oakland at 6:00 p.m. PST.
