Women's Tennis Too Much for Vulcans

HONOLULU, HI (March 8, 2014)— The Hawai`i Pacific Women's Tennis Team (7-1) defeated University of Hawaii at Hilo (0-5) on Saturday afternoon. The Sea Warriors earned a 9-0 sweep against the Vulcans.
 
HPU took all three doubles matches 8-1 to earn three points.
 
Karen Ramirez coasted to a straight sets victory in the first position winning 6-2, 6-2. Magdelana Smejova wn at second doubles without dropping a single point as did Carrie Shuler who won 6-0, 6-0. Saofia Tavitan got the start at sixth singles and earned a 6-3, 6-0 win.
 
The Sea Warriors are back in action tomorrow against Diamond Head Tennis Courts against Holy Names first serve is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
