SURPRISE, AZ (April 18, 2014)—For the second straight day the Hawai`i Pacific Men's Tennis Team (19-0) won a 5-0 decision in the PacWest Championships, this time defeating BYU-Hawaii (12-6). With the win, HPU earns a berth into the PacWest Championship final.
The Sea Warriors earned all three points at doubles with
Jaume Martinez-Vich and
Mattis Wetzel leading the way with an 8-1 win at second doubles.
In singles action,
Adriano Locorotondo and
Clemens Graute each earned quick, straight-sets, wins to clinch the match for HPU.
The Sea Warriors defend their PacWest crown against Azusa Pacific in the PacWest Championship tomorrow at 2:00 p.m. PST.
