SURPRISE, AZ (April 19, 2014)—The Hawai`i Pacific Women's Tennis Team (17-6) fell 5-3 in the PacWest Championship to BYU-Hawaii (26-0) at the Surprise Tennis & Racquet Club.

The Seasiders jumped out to a 2-1 lead in doubles action with Lea Kruse-Utermann and Vivian Hansen earning the point for HPU at third doubles.

Despite the deficit, the Sea Warriors battled hard in singles action by winning third and sixth singles and pushing a tiebreak in second and fifth singles, but the Seasiders proved to be too much down the stretch, winning 5-3.
 
The Sea Warriors will now await their matchup for regionals.
