WAIPIO, HI (February 19, 2015) – The Hawai'i Pacific Women's Tennis Team (5-0) handled Chaminade University (0-7) 9-0 on Thursday morning at Central Oahu Regional Park (CORP).
The Sharks set the tone in doubles play with a clean sweep. In the three matches, HPU allowed just two games.
Sofia Tavitian and Vivan Hansen were flawless at the third position wining 8-0. Teammates

Lea Kruse-Utermann had a similar experience each winning 8-1.
Singles action was also a landslide. HPU was perfect at the bottom of the lineup as Hansen, Gheorghe, Kruse-Utermann, and Tavitian all won 6-0, 6-0. Hancarova (6-1, 6-0) and Hoynaski (6-0, 6-2) also picked up relativity easy wins.
Although HPU also plays some of its home matches at CORP, this was technically a road match for the Sharks.
HPU is back in action tomorrow against Division I UC-Irvine at 10:00 am at the University of Hawaii Tennis Complex.
