HONOLULU, HI (April 10, 2015) – The Hawai'i Pacific Women's Tennis Team (18-5) closed the regular season on Friday afternoon at Ala Moana Beach Park with a 5-1 loss to #3 BYU-Hawai'i (27-1).

The visitors from the North Shore won second and third doubles each by 8-3 scores. The highlight of the day for HPU fans was when the team of Kristyna Hancarova and Nicole Hoynaski (#11) beat the #1 doubles team in the nation 9-8.

The Seasiders also picked up wins at first, second and sixth singles to clinch the match. Lorena Gheorghe and Lea Kruse-Utermann both won a set but the matches were stopped once the outcome was settled.
 
The Sharks now turn their focus to the Pacific West Conference Tournament on April 16th-18th in Surprise, Arizona.
