PENSACOLA, FL (April 2, 2015) – The top ranked Hawai'i Pacific Men's Tennis Team (16-0) stayed perfect against #10 Valdosta State (10-4) with a 5-0 win on a neutral surface in Pensacola.
The Sharks, now 51-3 dating back to mid-2013, continued to rumble through the top 10 with a shutout win on Thursday.
It was HPU's sweep of doubles play that put the Sharks in great position. The teams of

Thibaud Berland and
Clemens Graute/
Jaume Martinez-Vich each won 8-4. The second doubles team of
Maik Burlage and
Marko Lenz added a feather to their cap with an 8-6 win over the #13 doubles teams in the nation.
In singles action, HPU needed just two wins to clinch the match. Second-ranked Lenz got the first win (6-4, 6-0) against the #19 ranked singles player. Berland (#8) then ended the proceedings with a 6-3, 6-4 win at second singles. Graute, Burlage and Renault each won a set before the matches were stopped.
HPU returns to the court tomorrow to battle NAIA power Georgia Gwinnett College in a neutral site match in Pensacola.
