DENVER, Colo. (March 22, 2016) – The second-ranked Hawaii Pacific men's tennis team swept No. 15 Cameron (Okla.) University, 9-0, to remain undefeated in 2016.
The Sharks (13-0) were led by sixth-ranked
Thibaud Berland, who denied Dennis Merdan 6-3, 6-2 in the top singles draw. HPU's
Alexander Meyer defeated Joao Fazendiero in the second singles position 6-3, 6-2, while No. 8 Jaume Martinez Vich was victorious in the No. 3 singles slot over Vinicius Santos 6-3, 3-6, 6-3. Sharks players

Jakub Hadrava also claimed singles victories.
In doubles action, HPU's tandem of Meyer and Berland teamed up to down Felipe Oyarzun and Mateo Velasco, 8-4. The Sharks also received doubles wins from Dolezel and Martinez Vich (8-2) as well as Hadrava and Otto (8-4).
HPU returns to the Islands then will head East to face Georgia Gwinnett College, West Florida and Armstrong State April 8-10 in Pensacola, Fla., before gearing up for the PacWest Championships in Surprise, Ariz.
