KAILUA, Hawai'i – The No. 5 Hawai'i Pacific University had little trouble in sweeping cross-town rival Chaminade 9-0 in women's tennis action on Monday at the Kailua Racquet Club.
The Sharks (3-0) allowed the Silverswords (0-5) just five games over all of the positions in the match.

Nicole Hoynaski of Sydney, Australia. The eighth-ranked singles player in NCAA Division II, Hoynaski made short work of her opponents in both singles and doubles. She teamed with junior
Oceane Adam of LeMoule, Guadeloupe to breeze by CUH's Kauanoe Beamer/Elyssa Shirai 8-0 at No. 1 doubles, then downed Beamer up 6-0, 1-0 when Beamer retired.
HPU's No. 3 doubles team of

Bianca Schulhof shutout Emma Haurillon/Hannah Parker 8-0, while the No. 2 doubles squad of
Lara Meccico/Leticia dos Santos handed the Swords Cai Yan Fang/Tomomi Kohno an 8-1 defeat.
In singles play, Adam ripped Shirai 6-1, 6-0 at No. 2, and Kijasova beat Fang 6-0, 6-1 at No. 3. Dos Santos defeated Kohno 6-0, 6-1 at No. 4, Schulhof downed Haurillon 6-0, 6-1 at No. 5, and
Monica Greene shutout Parker 6-0, 6-0 at No. 6.
The No. 5 Sharks return to the court on Saturday when they host Dominican (Calif.).
