SURPRISE, Ariz. – No. 5 Hawai'i Pacific University collected one point, but No. 1 BYU-Hawaii had too much fire power on Saturday as the Seasiders beat HPU 5-1 to win the PacWest Conference Women's Tennis Championship at the Surprise Tennis and Racquet Complex.
The second seeded Sharks (13-5) fell for the second time to the top ranked and unbeaten Seasiders (27-0).
The Sharks only point came at No. 2 doubles where ninth ranked

Oceane Adam beat 13th ranked Min Liu/Leah Heimuli 8-4 for the first point scored of the day.
After that it was all BYUH, winning the championship in their final appearance. The university will shutter its athletic program at the end of the school year.
At No. 1 doubles,

Barbora Kijasova fell to second ranked Nannan "Dallas" Zhang/Xin Wen 8-0, and at No. 3 doubles, Leticia dos Santos/
Bianca Schulhof lost to Michelle Li Sha Khoo/Jeong-Min Jeon 8-3.
No. 6 singles finished first with Jeon beating Schulhof 6-2, 6-2, with Heimuli beating Kijasova 6-4, 6-2 at No. 4 to make it 4-1.
Then second ranked Liu, playing at No. 3 singles, beat the Sharks No. 48 Adam 6-1, 7-5 to clinch the match and the title for the Seasiders.
Meccico, ranked 19th, had just split sets with 11th ranked Wen 5-7, 6-3 when the match was called.
At No. 1 singles, third ranked Hoynaski had lost a set to top ranked Zhang in a tiebreaker 6-7, and had a 2-1 lead when pulled.
The Sharks now await the NCAA Division II selection show at 2 p.m. HST (8 p.m. EDT) on Tuesday to see their fate for the NCAA Tournament.
