ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. – No. 6 Hawai'i Pacific University saw its season come to an end on Friday as the Sharks fell 5-0 to No. 3 Lynn (Fla.) in the semifinals of the NCAA Division II Women's Tennis Championships at Sanlando Park.
The Sharks (16-6), who have reached the Final Four in four of the last five seasons, were tripped up by the powerful play of the Fighting Knights (24-2). Lynn advances to the championship match on Saturday to meet Barry (Fla.).
The Sharks fell behind early, being swept in all three doubles flights before dropping two singles positions to end the match.
HPU battled at the No. 1 doubles spot, as 24th ranked

Barbora Kijasova took third ranked Rosalie Willig/Stefanie Stemmer deep before falling 8-5.
At No. 2 doubles,

Oceane Adam lost to 11th ranked Grace Mpassy/Diana Bogolii 8-2, and at No. 3 Leticia dos Santos/
Bianca Schulhof were shutout by Tereza Hejlova/Martina Gledacheva 8-0.
Lynn finished off HPU with as Gledacheva downed dos Santos 6-1, 6-1 at No. 5, before 17th ranked Willig defeated 16th ranked Meccico 6-1, 6-2 at No. 2.
The Sharks led at two positions when the match ended, as 29th ranked
Oceane Adam led 30th ranked Bogolii 7-6 (7-3), 2-1 at No. 3, and Kijasova led Stemmer 6-6 (4-3) at No. 4. At No. 1, seventh ranked Mpassy led second ranked Hoynaski 6-1, 5-3, and at No. 6, Hejlova was up on Schulhof 6-3, 5-1.
The Sharks end a season that saw senior Hoynaski reach the No. 2 national ranking and win the ITA Most Improved Senior Award, and had Meccico win the national ITA Player to Watch Award.
