IRVINE, Calif. – Hawai'i Pacific University freshman Shane Adams has been named the PacWest Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week for his performance against Biola last week.
 
Adams, a 6-0 freshman right handed starter from Honolulu/Mid-Pacific Institute, hurled a two-hit complete game shutout last Monday night against Biola to collect his third win of the season. Adams struck out six Eagles while allowing two hits and three walks in the seven-inning contest.
 
It's Adams second weekly award of the season, as he was named the PacWest Freshman of the Week on Feb. 11.
 
HPU is 15-5 on the season and 2-2 in PacWest Conference play.
 
Joining Adams with the PacWest weekly awards are Biola's RJ Bates as Player of the Week and Biola's Brayden Englert as Freshman of the Week.
 
The Sharks host Fresno Pacific on Monday evening in a PacWest doubleheader starting at 4 p.m. at Hans L'Orange Park. They follow that with a trip to southern California to start a four-game series with Concordia Irvine on Saturday.
