Sharks Partner with CBS Sports Radio AM 1500

Sharks Announce Radio For Select Events

HONOLULU – Hawai'i Pacific University will have a select number of athletic events broadcast on radio in the next month, starting on Wednesday.
 
The Sharks will have two women's and men's basketball doubleheaders along with three baseball games broadcast on CBS Sports Radio Hawai'i AM 1500 and its accompanying mobile app Sideline Hawai'i. Additionally a third basketball doubleheader will be featured online. The audio of the broadcast will be available on the HPUSharks.com video webcasts as well.
 
Dave Kawada, the voice of the Hawai'i Rainbow Wahine basketball team, will have the play-by-play of the action for the Sharks.
 
The first broadcast is the Sharks contest with Academy of Art on Wednesday, with the women's game tipping at 4:30 p.m. and the men's contest to follow. HPU's games at Chaminade on Feb. 25 will also be featured starting at 5:30 p.m. with the women's contest. The Sharks final regular season game on Feb. 29 against Hawai'i Hilo starting at 1 p.m., will be an online contest only.
 
The three baseball games include the Sharks home opener against UH Hilo on Sunday, Feb. 9 at 1 p.m., their non-conference contest versus Drury (Mo.) on Sunday, Feb. 23 at 1 p.m., and the PacWest Conference matchup with Azusa Pacific on Friday, Feb. 28 at 6:30 p.m.
