HPU Acrobatics and Tumbling Falls to Oregon

HONOLULU, Hawai'i – Hawai'i Pacific fell to the University of Oregon in an NCATA meet on Tuesday, posting a final score of 263.675 to Oregon's 275.355.

The Sharks opened the meet with a 35.750 in the Compulsory event, highlighted by strong scores in Pyramid and Toss with marks of 9.750 in both heats.

HPU followed with a 27.600 in the Acro event, bringing its running total to 63.350. The Sharks continued to show consistency in Pyramid, scoring 29.350 with three scores of 9.650 or higher to remain within striking distance.

In the Toss event, HPU recorded a 27.400, pushing its total to 120.100 heading into Tumbling.

The Sharks posted a 53.575 in the Tumbling event, highlighted by a 9.850 in Heat 5 and a 9.450 in Heat 6.

HPU closed the meet with a 90.000 in the Team Event to finish with a total of 263.675.

Hawai'i Pacific continues its season against strong competition as the Sharks prepare for upcoming NCATA meets.
