HPU Acro Earns Top-10 Road Win Over Azusa Pacific

AZUSA, Calif. – No. 15 Hawai'i Pacific delivered a strong performance on the road Wednesday, defeating No. 10 Azusa Pacific 256.150 to 243.110 in NCATA competition in a rematch from an earlier meeting this season.

The Sharks set the tone early in the compulsory round, posting a 36.750 to 35.450 advantage behind solid execution across all four heats.

HPU continued to build momentum in the acro event, earning 28.450 points and extending its lead with consistent performances across all three heats.

In pyramid, the Sharks added another strong showing with a score of 28.800, highlighted by a near-perfect performance in Heat 3.

The toss event saw Hawai'i Pacific maintain control, posting a 27.450 total to carry a comfortable lead into tumbling.

HPU and Azusa Pacific battled closely in the tumbling event, with the Sharks narrowly edging the Cougars 52.600 to 52.500.

The Sharks sealed the victory in the team event, scoring 82.100 to secure the meet win.

Facing a nationally ranked opponent for the second time this season, Hawai'i Pacific showed clear growth and composure, turning a previous matchup into a statement road win.
