Biography

Personal: Born in Honolulu, Hawaii...parents are Andrew and Paige...has two sisters Chelsie (25) and Kristen (22)...his hobbies are sports...favorite food is Chinese food...and favorite athlete is Ichiro Suzuki...in 10 years he would like to be owning a business...chose HPU for the opportunity to play baseball...major is Business.

Prior to HPU: A graduate of Pearl City High School in Pearl City, Hawaii...where he lettered in baseball under coach Gary Nakamoto...earned 2009 Most Valuable Player.

HPU: 2015: Begins fifth season. 2014: Oshiro started all 48 games last year and was a menace on the base paths as well as in the outfield. He led the team with 22 stolen bases and led all outfielders with 137 put-outs. He hit .301 on the year with 59 hits while leading the team in at bats (196) and was second in runs scored (37). Oshiro also managed to drive in 22 RBI’s and hit seven doubles while hitting primarily out of the lead-off spot. Oshiro recorded the lowest strikeout to at bat ratio on the team as well, striking out only seven times on the season. 2013: Played in 44 games, starting 41..hit .291 in 148 at bats with 39 runs, six doubles and 39 RBI... stole 17 bases while getting caught only once…was third on the team in runs…was second in the PacWest in steals 2012: Redshirted 2011: Played 44 games, starting 40…hit .259 with 27 runs and 15 RBI…led the team with 11 steals…had just one error in 101 chances (.990).
