Biography

Jon Polizzi joins the Sharks from Manitou Springs High School in Manitou Springs, Colorado. The 6-foot distance runner is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Hawai?i Pacific.

Polizzi competed in cross country, basketball, and track & field during his prep career under coaches Anna Mack, Andy Sherwood, and Diarra Cropper. He earned varsity letters in basketball and track & field and served as team captain for the track & field program, demonstrating leadership both on and off the track.

Polizzi chose HPU for the opportunity to experience island life while continuing his education and running career, as well as reconnecting with family in Hawai?i. Outside of athletics, he enjoys fishing, listening to music, and spending time with family. Looking ahead, he hopes to build a career as a pediatric nurse.
