Personal: Born in Honolulu...son of Carl and Jennifer Takahashi...has one brother, Chris (25)...hobbies are surfing, fishing, bodyboarding, golf, and basketball...favorites are music group Sudden Rush and athlete Roger Clemens...majoring in Marine Biology...in 10 years time he hopes to be playing baseball professionally... chose HPU for the chance to continue playing baseball at home, and the small class size and educational opportunities.

Prior To HPU: A graduate of Kalani High School in Honolulu…lettered in baseball under Coach Shannon Hirai...also lettered in basketball, football, and paddling.

HPU: Begins fourth season. 2010: Appeared in eight games, with three game starts, finishing the season with a 2-1 record...had a 5.64 earned run average...had one complete game versus Pacific University (2/21) where allowed one run on three hits. 2009: Went 2-1 on the season with seven appearances and two starts...posted a 7.78 earned run average...allowed one run in five innings of work in HPU's win over UH-Hilo (4/26). 2008: Appeared in nine games with eight starts...pitched a complete game shutout versus Missouri-Saint Louis (2/23) allowing just three hits with two strikeouts...finished the season at 3-1 with a 5.40 ERA.
