Tyson Norr is a defender from Kailua, Hawai‘i. At Mid-Pacific Institute in Honolulu, he excelled in both soccer and basketball, playing four years of varsity in each sport under coaches Jamie Gawal and Rob Shklov. On the pitch, he anchored the defense while earning multiple ILH First Team honors and the 2024 ILH Defensive Player of the Year award. He also represented the Hawaiian National Team in 2023 and 2024. Born in Kailua, Tyson chose HPU to continue growing as both a player and student close to home. Outside of soccer, he enjoys golfing, going to the beach, and hiking with friends. His favorite foods include a good burger, and he lists Tiger Woods and Lionel Messi as his role model athletes. Looking ahead, Tyson aspires to become a professional athlete.
