Hawaii Pacific University Athletics

Brandon Laytin joins the Sharks from Orange Lutheran High School in Orange, California. The 6-foot midfielder is originally from Anaheim Hills, California, and plans to major in Criminal Justice at Hawai?i Pacific.

Laytin played soccer throughout his prep career under head coach Mike Oseguera. He chose HPU for its strong balance of academics and athletics, along with its supportive campus community and small class sizes, which he believes will help him continue to grow both on and off the field.

Away from the pitch, Laytin enjoys playing basketball, listening to Giveon, and spending time with family and friends. His favorite athlete is Michael Jordan, and his favorite foods are pasta and pizza. In the future, he hopes to become a successful attorney while remaining involved in soccer through competition, coaching, or supporting the sport.
