Patton Continues Dominance, Sea Warriors Sweep

Kaneohe, HI (March 16, 2011) - In a doubleheader against Faulkner University, Hawai'i Pacific took two from the Eagles, 7-0 in game one and 6-2 in game two. The ninth-ranked Sea Warriors are now 14-4.

In game one, Breanne Patton threw her eighth shutout of the season, earning the win for the Sea Warriors, tossing a complete game only giving up two hits and striking out six. Emily Jimmerson receives the loss for the Eagles, throwing four and one-third innings, giving up six runs on 10 hits.

Maile Kim led the Sea Warriors at the plate going 3-3. Chante Tesoro, Kozy Toriano, Erin Fujita and Celina Garces each recorded two hits. Patton also helped herself out at the plate, recording four RBI, including a homerun.

In game two, Ashley Valine earned the win for the Sea Warriors, giving up just two runs on seven hits in six innings of work. Missy Duke receives the loss, giving up six runs on seven hits.

Kim continued her hot hitting in game two recording two hits and one RBI. Tesoro also recorded one hit and two RBI for the Sea Warriors.

The Lady Sea Warriors are scheduled to play BYU-Hawaii, this Friday, March 18 at Howard A. Okita Field in Kaneohe, first pitch at 2:00 p.m.
