Pensacola, FL (April 5, 2012) – The 14th ranked Sea Warriors (12-3) won 5-1 over Ouachita Baptist in an abbreviated match played at a neutral court in Florida.

The Hawai'i Pacific men's tennis team made a clean sweep in double action to take control of the match. The duos of Petr Michnev/Patric Guenther and Adriano Locorotondo/Georgi Yordanov both won 8-4 at the top of the doubles lineup. Gerald Moretti and Ji Hoon Heo were similarly effective at third singles with an 8-5 win.

HPU needed just two wins in singles play to seal the match; the Sea Warriors got the wins from Michnev and Locorotondo. Fourth ranked Michnev won 7-5, 6-0 at first singles and Locorotondo bested his opponent 7-6, 6-2 at fifth singles.  With the HPU win clinched, the other matches were stopped.

HPU will face third ranked Barry University tomorrow at 3 PM in Pensacola.
