Box Score OAKLAND, CA (March 27, 2014) – The Hawai'i Pacific Baseball Team (17-11, 11-9) won the series finale 7-3 against Academy of Art (8-20, 4-12) to take three out of four games in the series.
The Sea Warriors got started early when 
Derek Nakasato doubled with one out; later in the first inning 
Kevin Lenik delivered a two-out RBI hit to give HPU a 1-0 lead. It didn't last long however as Art U scored to tie the game in the bottom of the first.
In the third inning, HPU briefly regained the lead. 
Tyler Tokunaga led off the stanza with a triple and then scored on a base knock by 
Codey Ellenwood. Back came the home team with two runs in the bottom of the frame to take a 3-2 lead.
HPU tied the seven-inning game in the fourth when Tokunaga executed a squeeze play with 
Jordan Oshiro, who had doubled and stole third, racing home.  
The Sea Warriors took the lead for good in the sixth inning when they scored three times thanks to three extra base hits. 
Lanan Rice-Kashima opened the frame with a double and then moved to third on single by Tokunaga. Both runners then scored as Nakasato ripped a triple in the left center field gap. Nakasato came home when Ellenwood followed with his 12th double of the season, second most in the PacWest.
The Sea Warriors tacked on another run in the seventh to make it a 7-3 final score.
The top of the Sea Warrior lineup was lethal with Tokunaga, Nakasato, and Ellenwood combining to go 6-11 with four runs and five RBI. Rice-Kashima continued his solid series with two more hits.
Bryson Gauthe, who came into the game as the PacWest ERA leader at 0.65, got the win after giving up three runs in six innings. 
John Albert came on to throw a scoreless seventh inning.
HPU will remain in Oakland and begin a four-game series with Holy Names with a doubleheader on Saturday at noon PST.
