VALLEJO, CA (April 18, 2014)—The Hawai`i Pacific Men's Golf Team shot its way to a two-round score of 618, good enough for fifth place in the Pacific west Conference Tournament. HPU senior James Fawsett is in contention for the individual title sitting just two shots back from the leaders after shooting even par.
 
Led by Fawsett's three-under 69, the Sea Warriors came out of the clubhouse hot, shooting an opening round 303. It was a pair of frehmen, Kevin Goldstein (74) and Alec  Fourie (79) who rounded out HPU's top-three in round one.
 
In a quick turnaround, the field played another 18 holes at Hiddenbrooke Golf Course. A second round team score of 315 dropped the Sea Warriors down one spot from fourth to fifth.
 
The final round of the PacWest Championships will be tomorrow. The field is set to tee off at 7:30 a.m.
