SURPRISE, AZ (April 18, 2014)—The Hawai`i Pacific Women's Tennis Team will once again make an appearance in the Pacific West Conference Tennis Championship after defeating Azusa Pacific (18-6) 5-2 in the semifinal. 
The Cougars jumped out to an early lead after taking two of three doubles matches. 
The Sea Warriors rebounded in singles action,  as 
Lea Kruse-Utermann, 
Vivian Hansen, 
Lorena Gheorghe and 
Karen Ramirez each picked up straight sets victories to give HPU the 5-2 win. 
The Sea Warriors will face BYU-Hawaii in a rematch of last years PacWest Championship. First serve is scheduled for 9:00 a.m. PST.
