AZUSA, Calif. (February 11, 2016) – The Hawaii Pacific Acrobatics & Tumbling team picked up an important road win, 253.565-249.020, over Azusa Pacific University in the Golden State.
The Sharks (1-0) claimed the first half 92.35-90.65 and downed the Cougars (0-1) in the second half, 161.215-158.370, to round out the National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association competition.
HPU won the Acro (28.30-26.10), Pyramid (29.85-29.35) and Tumbling (47.225-44) events, while dropping the Compulsory (35.20-34.20), Toss (28.20-27.90) and Team (86.17-86.09) segments.
The Sharks will remain on the West Coast and challenge the University of Oregon on Saturday, Feb. 13 at 6 p.m.
