EUGENE, Ore. (February 13, 2016) – The No. 3 Hawaii Pacific Acrobatics & Tumbling team fell to second-ranked Oregon, 267.555-265.665, on the road against the talented Ducks.
The Sharks (1-1) claimed the first half 93.20-93.05, but fell in the second half, 174.505-172.465, to round out the National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association competition.
HPU won the Acro (28.95-28.55), Pyramid (29.40-29.10) and Toss (28.40-28.20) events, while dropping the Compulsory (35.40-34.85), Tumbling (52.425-50.675) and Team (93.88-93.39) segments to the Ducks (2-0).
The Sharks return to the Islands to host Alderson Broaddus University on March 8 at 6:30 p.m. and Baylor on March 11 at 6:30 p.m. at still-to-be-determined sites.
