WACO, Texas (April 17, 2016) – The No. 4 Hawaii Pacific Acrobatics & Tumbling team knocked off No. 5 Azusa Pacific 277.785-271.995 in the quarterfinal round of the National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association National Championships at Baylor University.
With the win, the Sharks (4-3) advance to face top-ranked Baylor (8-0) Monday at 7 p.m.
HPU won the Compulsory (38.45-37.35), Acro (29.20-27.95), Pyramid (29.80-29.50), Toss (28.35-27.25) and Team (97.110-94.820) events, while dropping the Tumbling (55.125-54.875) segment to the Cougars.
