ADRIAN, Mich. — No. 4 Hawai'i Pacific University won all six elements as they easily beat Alderson Broaddus and Adrian on Monday in an Acrobatic & Tumbling tri-meet at the Merilatt Center.
The Sharks (4-1) continued their winning streak with the two wins, scoring 272.995 points, with Alderson Broaddus scoring 265.715 and Adrian 139.175.
HPU opened the meet scoring 38.80 in the compulsories, while AB posted 38.15 and Adrian 29.90.
In the acro, HPU chalked up 29.70 points, to edge Alderson Broaddus at 29.60, with Adrian 25.75.
The Sharks closed the first half of the meet with a win in the pyramid, scoring 29.50. AB tallied 29.15 and Adrian 26.45. HPU led at the half 98.00 to AB's 96.90 and Adrian's 82.10.
HPU held on in the fourth element, the toss, scoring 28.30, just ahead of Alderson Broaddus' 28.25 and Adrian's 22.45.
The fifth element, tumbling, saw the Sharks widen their lead, posting a 53.925, to AB's 51.775 and Adrian's 34.625.
The final team event only had HPU and Alderson Broaddus compete, with the Sharks making it a clean sweep 92.77 to 88.79.
HPU will compete again on Thursday at Concordia (Wisc.), meet time at 3 p.m. HST (7 p.m. CST) at Buuck Fieldhouse.
