HONOLULU – A severe medical emergency halted the Hawai'i Pacific University-Southern Nazarene game in the Ala Moana Hotel Hoops In Hawai'i D2 Power Invitational at the Hawai'i Convention Center and caused it to be cancelled on Tuesday afternoon.
 
The game was stopped with SNU leading 22-12 with 6:52 to play in the first half at a timeout when an HPU player collapsed on the bench.
 
He was attended to by the HPU training staff and medical staff at the Convention Center until emergency crews arrived.
 
The game was ended at that point.
 
The third place game between Western Oregon and Dallas Baptist was also cancelled.
