HONOLULU – Live coverage of No. 2/4 Hawai'i Pacific University's run in the NCAA Division II Women's Basketball Championship will radio broadcast in Honolulu and on internet by Hawai'i Sports Radio Network on AM 760/95.1 FM – "The Shark."
Starting with HPU's game against Azusa Pacific in the West Region Quarterfinals, each HPU contest in the 2021 tournament can be heard with HPU Assistant Athletic Director
Bill Powers on the play-by-play call.
The broadcast starts 15 minutes before each game, meaning 1:45 for the Sharks contests in the West Region in Grand Junction, Colo. In addition to the over-the-air signals in Honolulu, a link to the radio broadcast is available on the women's basketball schedule page at HPUSharks.com.
The Sharks (13-0, 12-0), the automatic qualifier of the PacWest and holders of the longest women's winning streak in the country at 38 games, open play against Azusa Pacific (10-4) on Friday afternoon at 2 p.m. HST (5 p.m. MST) at Colorado Mesa University's Brownson Arena.
With a win, HPU would advance to play Colorado School of Mines on Saturday at 2 p.m. HST (5 p.m. MST) in the region semifinals. The region championship game is slated for Monday at 2 p.m. HST (6 p.m. MDT).
The region champion is headed to the NCAA Division II Women's Elite Eight in Columbus, Ohio, March 23-26.
