IRVINE, Calif. – The PacWest Conference announced their weekly soccer awards this afternoon, where the Sharks goalkeeper Sophia Garrido won Defender of the Week.
 
Garrido helped the Sharks finish strong with a pair of shutout wins over Biola (1-0) and Chaminade (2-0). The graduate senior had four stops against the Eagles and rang up six saves in the win over rival Chaminade. Garrido, who started in nine matches this season, finished ranked second in the PacWest with a .800 save percentage, 44 saves, and 4.40 saves per match.
