PLEASANTON, Calif. – Hawai'i Pacific University tallied a 350 on Tuesday to finish at 701 for fifth at the spring season opening Women's Bay Area Invitational at the Callippe Preserve Golf Course.
The Sharks finished 10 strokes ahead of Montana State Billings in sixth with a 711, but 21 strokes behind UC Santa Cruz in fourth at 680.
The Sharks had two players in the top 15, led by freshman
Lily Landt of Reno, Nev./Wooster who fired the Sharks best round of the tournament with a 6-over-par 79 on the par 73, 5,917 yard tournament course at Callippe Preserve in the second round to place 12th at 165. Freshman
Kellie Yamane of Aiea, Hawai'i/I'olani had her best round of the tourney as well, posting an 8-over 81 to place in a tie for 14th at 167.

Clarissa Burhan of Las Vegas, Nev./Clark recorded a 96 to finish at 184, just ahead of sophomore
Kirsten Lindner of Glendora, Calif./Glendora who carded a 94 for 185. Freshman
Makenna Reinhardt of Le Sueur, Minn./Le Sueur-Henderson completed the team with a 99 for a total of 193. Playing as an individual, HPU freshman
Kaila Bonawitz of Vancouver, Wash./Mountain View signed for a 99 and a 203 total.
Tournament host Cal State East Bay won going away, posting a final round 315 to win by 28 strokes at 611. Co-host Holy Names was second at 639, while Chico State was third at 644.
The Sharks are back in action on March 7-8 at the Fujikura Invitational hosted by Cal State San Marcos. The tournament will be held at the Shadowridge Golf Club in Vista, Calif.
