ʻAIEA, Hawai'i — The Hawai'i Pacific University women's golf team dominated its home course, Pearl at Kalauao, claiming the team championship at the 2025 Southwest Airlines HPU Sharks Shootout with a commanding 628 total (+52), finishing 19 strokes ahead of Seattle Pacific (647).
Senior standout 
Shuiyun He led the field and earned individual medalist honors with a two-round total of 154 (+10). Freshman teammate 
Isabella Iorio followed just two shots behind at 156 (+12) to take second place, giving the Sharks a 1-2 finish.
HPU placed four golfers in the top 10: 
Paige Sur tied for fifth (159, +15), Giuliana Rovetti tied for seventh (160, +16), and 
Kameron Kwong tied for 10th (163, +19). 
Yumi Sugimoto (174, +30) completed the Sharks' scoring lineup.
The win marks HPU's second tournament title of the 2025-26 season and in program history. This victory reinforces their status as contenders in the PacWest.
