Sharks Place 13th at Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout

ALAMEDA, Calif. – Hawai'i Pacific University posted a final round 302 to finish in 13th at the 2022 Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout hosted by Cal State East Bay at Corica Park South Course.
 
HPU's three-round total of 897 was two strokes behind Regis (Colo.) in 12th at 895 and three stroke better than Dominican (Calif.) in 14th at 900.
 
Sophomore Keita Okada of Tokyo, Japan/Bradenton, Fla. IMG Academy, carded a final round 1-over-par 73 on the par 72, 6,783 yard Corica South Course to join a 22nd place tie at 1-under 215. Senior Ryan Torres of San Jose, Calif./Evergreen Valley had the best round on Tuesday, firing an even-par 72 to finish at 3-over 219. Junior Keli'i Kamelamela-Dudoit of Ho'olehua, Hawai'i/Kamehameha-Kapalama added a 5-over 77 for an 11-over 227, while senior Ray Kim of Aiea, Hawai'i/Moanalua chipped in an 80 for a 238, and freshman Noah Daher of Cottonwood, Ariz./Mingus Union turning in an 85 for a 241. Junior Hasee Nazir of Orange, Calif./Orange Lutheran, played as a medalist, posting an 80 for a 241 final.
 
Cal State Monterey Bay posted a final round 284 to win the tournament at 18-under 846. Cal State San Bernardino was six back at 12-under 852, with Stanislaus State third at 10-under 854.
 
CSUMB's Liam Allder fired a final round 4-under 68 to tie for the individual championship at 9-under 207 with East Bay individual Ananjan Kaushik who carded a 1-under 71. Stan State's Michael Jura III had a 4-under 68 to place third at 8-under 208. The round of the tournament was shot by Sonoma State's Jack Green who had a final round 5-under 66 as part of a three-way tie for fourth at 7-under 209.
 
The Sharks play again on April 12th, when they host Chaminade in a dual meet at Pearl Country Club.
