AIEA, Hawai'i – Hawai'i Pacific University posted a 296 to win the team title at The Hawai'i Challenge on Tuesday afternoon at Pearl Country Club. HPU outdistanced Hawai'i Hilo with a 311 and Chaminade at 325.

Ryan Torres of San Jose, Calif./Evergreen Valley each fired an even-par 72 on the par 72, 6,787-yard Pearl layout, with Otani winning individual honors with a playoff birdie on the par 5, 559-yard first hole.

Ray Kim of Aiea, Hawai'i/Moanalua tied for third at 2-over 74 with UHH's Dustin Franko. Sophomore
Keita Okada of Tokyo, Japan/Bradenton, Fla. IMG Academy was sixth at 4-over 76. Freshman
Grant Garrison of Lake Tapps, Wash./Sumner added an 85.
Playing as as individuals, junior
Hasee Nazir of Orange, Calif./Orange Lutheran carded a 7-over 79 and freshman
Noah Daher of Cottonwood, Ariz./Mingus Union posted an 86.
The tournament was a warm up for the teams as they will play in the 2022 PacWest Conference Championships next Monday through Wednesday at The Wigwam Resort in Litchfield Park, Ariz. Okada is the defending PacWest Individual Champion.
