Sharks Eight at the Sonoma State Spring Invitational

SANTA ROSA, Calif. – Hawai'i Pacific University posted a final round 322 to finish eighth at 656 in the 2022 Sonoma State Spring Invitational on Tuesday at the Santa Rosa Golf and Country Club.
 
The Sharks were behind the sixth place tie of Westminster (Utah) and Simon Fraser at 639.
 
Freshman Kellie Yamane of Aiea, Hawai'i/I'olani fired a season-best 3-over-par 75 in the final round to lead the Sharks on the par 72, 5,890 yard Santa Rosa GCC tournament loop. She posted her best 36-hole score of the season in tying for 18th at 11-over 155.
 
Freshman Lily Landt of Reno, Nev./Wooster just missed a top 20 finish, shooting a 6-over 78 on Tuesday to tie for 21st at 13-over 157. Freshman Clarissa Burhan of Las Vegas, Nev./Clark added an 83 for her 169, with senior Cameron Kaneshiro of Kaneohe, Hawai'i/Hawai'i Baptist Academy posting an 89 for a 178 total and sophomore Kirsten Linder of Glendora, Calif./Glendora counting an 86 to finish at 183 for the Sharks.
 
Cal State East Bay recorded a final round 302 to win the tournament by 10 strokes at 597. Holy Names posted the best round of the tournament with a 293 on Tuesday to tie Dominican (Calif.) for second at 607, with host Sonoma State fourth at 612.
 
Menlo's Dasa Urbankova fired a 6-under 66 to win individual honors with a 7-under 137. Regina Parra of Holy Names and Jasmin Krishna of Cal State East Bay tied for second at 4-over 148, with a three-way tie for fourth at 5-over 149.
 
The Sharks next action is at the PacWest Conference Championships, Monday, April 18 to Wednesday, April 20 at the Wigwam Resort in Litchfield Park, Ariz.
