Irvine, Calif. – The PacWest Conference announced their weekly basketball conference honors this morning, where the HPU women's basketball team earned their second Team of the Week award of the season.

Two days later, they pounded Holy Names 88-66 and felt the momentum picking up. Their final test of the week came against Dominican, who previously beat the Sharks at home, holding them to just 33 points. This time, it was a different story as HPU found a late push to take the win 71-64.
In her short tenure with HPU,
Abby Spurgin continues to amaze as she set another school record with seven blocks against Dominican. Spurgin also led the Sharks with 72 points over the three-game stretch. She added 32 rebounds and two more double-doubles, bringing her season total to 10. Spurgin remains one of the top scorers and defenders in the country, with eight games left in the regular season.
