Honoring a Legacy: Coach Hendrik Bode's Journey from HPU to University of Hawaii

(HONOLULU, HI) - Coach Hendrik Bode has concluded a distinguished fourteen-year tenure at Hawaii Pacific University (HPU) to embrace a new opportunity as the head coach at the University of Hawaii. His time at HPU was marked by outstanding achievements that have left a lasting impact on the tennis program and university community.

During his tenure, Coach Bode accumulated 200 career wins and guided the HPU men's tennis team to six PacWest championships. His coaching acumen was underscored by two appearances in the NCAA finals, culminating in the NCAA championship title in 2016. In recognition of his exceptional leadership, Coach Bode was named the NCAA D2 Coach of the Year in 2015.

As Coach Bode transitions to his new role at the University of Hawaii, he carries with him the cherished memories and experiences gained during his tenure at HPU. His legacy of success and dedication will continue to resonate within the HPU tennis program and the broader university community.
