WAIKIKI, Hawai'i - The Sharks men's cross country team dominated with an 18-point finish at the Chaminade Invitational at Kapi'olani Regional Park.
The Sharks had a near sweep of the top five positions, dropping only the third-place slot.
Freshman
Drake Hanley of Scottsdale, Arizona, topped the podium with a time of 17:53.9.
He was quickly followed by freshman
Aaron Humphries, who took the number two spot with a time of 18:03.7.
While the Sharks women's cross country team fielded a team for the race, they failed to receive a team result as freshman Kaitlynn Rice did not finish due to an injury sustained during the race.
However, the Sharks did see two top 10 finishes with junior
Carly Dyer finishing 6th with a time of 20:53.8, and 9th with senior
Sophie Hanson running a time of 22:51.9.
The Sharks will run again next Saturday, Sept. 27th, at 7 a.m. at the Hawai'i Country Club as they host the Hawai'i Pacific University Invitational.
