Sharks Rally Past Southwest Baptist, 4–2

BOLIVAR, Mo. — Hawai'i Pacific rallied in singles play to defeat Southwest Baptist 4–2 on Friday afternoon.

Southwest Baptist claimed the early advantage after securing the doubles point. The Bearcats picked up wins at No. 3 doubles and No. 1 doubles to take the early lead, while the No. 2 doubles match featuring Ethan Terry and Mile Matic went unfinished.

The Sharks responded in singles with a strong showing across the lineup, winning four matches to secure the team victory.

Adam Vasir got the comeback started with a dominant 6–1, 6–3 win at No. 2 singles. Ethan Terry followed with another convincing performance at No. 3 singles, defeating Federico Riolo 6–1, 6–1 to give HPU the lead.

Rene Gabriel Jung extended the Sharks' advantage with a 6–3, 6–3 victory at No. 5 singles.

Seth Newman clinched the match for Hawai'i Pacific at No. 4 singles, battling through a three-set match to defeat R. Ramuz 6–3, 2–6, 7–5.

Southwest Baptist picked up its lone singles point at No. 1 singles, while the No. 6 singles match featuring Arthur Pery went unfinished.

With the win, Hawai'i Pacific earned a key road victory during its trip to the Midwest.
