Hawai'i Pacific Women's Basketball is excited to announce the addition of three talented transfer student athletes to its 2026-27 roster. Kaile Cruz (University of Hawai'i Hilo), Hailey Perez (Lewis & Clark College), and Emily Bowman (Folsom Lake College) will join the Sharks as the program continues to build toward another successful season.

Each player brings a unique skill set, valuable collegiate experience, and a competitive mindset that will strengthen the program both on and off the court.

Cruz arrives at HPU after an impressive career at UH Hilo, where she developed into one of the Vulcans' top offensive threats. During the 2025-26 season, the guard averaged 11.6 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game while shooting nearly 89 percent from the free throw line. Her ability to score from the perimeter and create offense will provide an immediate boost to the Sharks' backcourt.

Perez returns home after spending the past season at Lewis & Clark College in Portland. The Ewa Beach native averaged 7.8 points per game while making 31 three-pointers in 24 appearances for the Pioneers. A proven perimeter shooter and hardworking competitor, Perez now has the opportunity to continue her collegiate career in front of family and friends in Hawai'i.

Bowman joins the Sharks from Folsom Lake College, bringing valuable collegiate experience and additional depth to the HPU frontcourt. Her size, work ethic, and commitment to improving her game make her an exciting addition to the roster, and the coaching staff believes she has tremendous potential to make an impact in the PacWest Conference.

The addition of Cruz, Perez, and Bowman provides HPU with a blend of experience, versatility, and talent as the Sharks prepare for the upcoming season. Their collegiate backgrounds, combined with a shared desire to compete at a high level, position them to make an immediate contribution both on the court and within the HPU community.
