Biography

Personal: Born in Renton, Washington…parents are Darla and Donald…has two sisters Paula and Gessika and two brothers Grady and DJ…nickname is "Young Morg"....enjoys singing and eating ice cream…favorite musical artists are Chris Brown, Justin Timberlake and Dom Kennedy…Morganne’s favorite athletes are Gary Payton, D. Rose, Michael Jordan, Lebron James and Allen Iverson…chose HPU because of the baskebtall program…majoring in Communications…In 10 years she wants to be working with music or coaching girls basketball.

Prior to HPU: Graduated from Kentlake High School…played forward and center under coach Scott Simmons…was named team MVP all four years...was a All-South Puget Sound League first team honors as a sophomore, junior and senior...her junior season was her best, averaging 16 points and eight rebounds...All-South Puget Sound League second team as a freshman...as a freshman she contributed on a 2006 state tournament team...was named to the All-SPSL second team in 2006 and 2007....won the State Tournament in 2007…Also attended Eastern Washington University and played center and forward under coach Wendy Schuller...redshirted during the 2010-2011 season...hampered by an injury in 2011-2012, playing in five games...played in seven games in 2012-2013...the team advanced to the Big Sky Tournament her freshman and sophomore years and in the NIT Tournament in 2013

HPU: 2014-2015- Begins second season. 2013-2014- Played in 27 games, starting 25…shot 146-291 (50.2%) from the floor and 78-107 (72.9%) from the line…scored 370 points (13.7 PPG), grabbed 301 rebounds (11.1 RPG), and passed out 68 assists (2.5 APG)…added 36 blocks and 30 steals…scored 20 or more points five times, including a 27 points at BYU-Hawai'i…went for 15 or more rebounds in seven different games…set the single-game records for rebounds in a game (21 vs. Point Loma), offensive rebounds in a game (nine vs. Point Loma), defensive rebounds in a game (16 vs. Central Washington), and blocks in a game (six vs. California Baptist)…set the single-season rebounding record, beating the previous mark by 81 boards…holds the single-season record for offensive rebounds (83) and defensive rebounds (218)…named to the Daktronics All-West Region second team, All-PacWest second team, and All-PacWest Tournament Team
