Personal: Armenta was born in Santa Ana, CA and raised in Tustin, CA by parents Luis and Jael Armenta…she has three siblings; Phillip (22), Karina (18), and Reuben (13)…her hobbies include eating, napping, and hiking…her favorite foods are pasta, tacos, and muffins…her favorite musical artists are Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, and Jason Aldean…her favorite movie is Hunger Games…her favorite athlete is Kobe Bryant…she is majoring in History…in 10 years she hopes to have a solid career and be married with children…Armenta chose HPU being a part of the HPU Basketball Program seemed like a great experience. As well as having the opportunity to learn Hawaiian history while living in Hawai’i.

Prior to HPU: Armenta comes to HPU from Orange Coast College as an all-conference performer. She graduated from Foothill High School where she was second team all-league and led her team to the state championship game. She exploded onto the scene as a freshman at OCC. She was named Freshman of the Year as she led the conference in scoring at 16.9 points per game. She was named to the all-tournament team at the Cuesta College Invitational, Coast Christmas Classic, and San Diego Mesa College Holiday Tournament. Armenta backed up her freshman season with a solid sophomore campaign. As team captain, she was again named to the all-conference first team and selected as the Orange Empire Conference Defensive Player of Year.
