Biography

Personal: Born in Oceanside, California…parents are Ken and Lori Elderts…has four sisters, Stefanie (31), Keana (16), Kamaile (14), and Kanani (6)…has three brothers, Keenan (23), Kainoa (13), and Keawe (10)…favorite hobbies are spending time with friends and family, playing the flute, shopping, going to the beach, being outdoors, and traveling…favorite foods are donuts, apples (not sour ones), spaghetti, and kalua pig…favorite movies are Tangled, Selena, and The Help…favorite musical artists are Jason Mraz, Gabe Bondoc, Sara Bareilles, The Green, AJ Rafael, Bruno Mars, and Adele…favorite athletes are Natasha Watley and Derek Fisher…in 10 years she would like to have her Master's Degree in Education, and be a part of the American Peace Corps…she would like to travel and teach children from around the world…chose HPU because she wanted to learn about her Hawaiian culture and there was no better way to do so than to study at HPU…she loves that the school has two completely different campuses…she also chose HPU because of its small class sizes and strong softball program

Prior to HPU: Graduated from Great Oak High School in Temecula, California…played softball under Coach Ashley Rasmussen and Doug Apel as shortstop and 3rd baseman…was awarded Integrity Award, three-time Scholarship Award, two-time Player’s Choice Award, two-time Coaches’ Award, two-time 2nd Team All-League Award, two-time 1st Team All-League Award, 2nd Team All-Valley, and 1st Team All-Valley.

HPU: 2014: Elderts was one of two players to start all 43 games...led the team in at-bats (136), runs scored (38), hits (48), triples (5), total bases (61), and stolen bases (17)...second on the team with a .353 batting average and .417 on-base percentage 2013: Was named First Team All-Region by Daktronics and the National Fast Pitch Coaching Association…selected to the All-PacWest Second Team… landed a spot on the Capital One Academic All-District Team…played and started all 49 games…led the Sea Warriors with 166 at bat and hit .428 with 48 runs, eight doubles, five triples (led HPU), and 26 RBI…she was 4th in PacWest in batting average...was 3rd in the PacWest with a .484 On base percentage… was 8th in the league with 21 steals…had three steals vs Martin Methodist (3/5/13)…recorded eight assists as a shortstop vs. Western Oregon (2/19/13) 2012: Started in all 50 games...hit .372 with 36 runs, seven doubles, three triples, 20 RBI, 13 walks, and 19 stolen bases.
