Personal: Born in Honolulu, Hawaii…daughter of David and Hwa Young...hobbies are surfing, body boarding and skating...favorite foods are sushi, chicken and pizza...favorite movies are Pitch Perfect, Blue Crush and White Chicks…Chose HPU to for both its academic and athletic programs and the location close to home…In 10 years would like to be successful and continue to make her family proud.

Prior To HPU: A graduate of Kamehameha Schools Maui…played four years of Varsity Volleyball under coach Charles Spencer as an opposite hitter and outside hitter…played four years of Varsity Basketball under coach Kaipo Jenkins and coach David Nesmith as guard…played middle infield and outfield in Varsity Softball under coach Angus Peters… participated in shot-put and 4x400 in Track and Field under coach Charles Spencer…Named MIL Volleyball All Star Team Honorable Mention, won MIL Volleyball Championship  and made an HHSAA Volleyball Championship appearance as a senior…Named to the MIL Softball All Star 1st Team as a senior…Named MIL Softball All Star Team Honorable Mention as a sophomore and made an HHSAA Softball Championship appearance as a freshman...Attended University of Hawaii Maui College in Kahului, HI and The College of Southern Nevada in Henderson, NV.

HPU: 2015: Begins second season. 2014: Young played in 22 games while starting seven. She drove in one RBI on one hit and walked twice in just 13 at-bats.
