Personal: Born in Torrance, California…nickname is “Viks”…parents are Mark and Keikilani…has five sisters; Kamalei (17), Kanani (15), Ke’ala (13), Kalei (10), and Kealoha (4)...one of his hobbies is playing the piano…favorite foods are pizza, stead, and Hawaiian food…favorite movie is Hitch…favorite music artists are J. Cole and Kendrick Lamar…favorite athletes are Stephen Curry and James Harden… chose HPU “so that I could not only play basketball but excel in school as well. I wanted to stay here after going to Kamehameha and so HPU was the best option for me to do that”…in 10 years Kawika would like to own his own company and have a family…he is currently in the process of earning his MBA.

Prior to HPU: Graduated from Kamehameha Kapalama Schools…there he played basketball under Coach Jesse Nakanishi.

HPU: 2012-2013: Begins fourth season. 2011-2012: Played in 18 games…averaged 1.9 points per game…shot .314 from the field goal and .600 from the free throw range…shot nine three-pointers in the season…had a game high of three assists against Dixie State. 2010-2011: Injured. 2009-2010: Saw action in 13 games...scored 12 points on the season...also added six assists, six rebounds, and one block...scored a season-high six points versus Champion Baptist (12/17)...shot .571 from three-point range. 2008-2009: Redshirted.
