Shinichi Itoh, a versatile guard from Noshiro, Akita, Japan, brings a winning pedigree to the Sharks’ roster. At Noshiro Technical High School under coach Gen Komatsu, he won four consecutive prefectural championships and qualified for Japan’s national high school tournament each year from 2021 to 2023. He continued his career at Cuesta College in California, where he earned All-Conference honors. Drawn to Hawai‘i Pacific University for its location and competitive program, Shinichi is eager to make his mark in the PacWest. Off the court, he enjoys weight training, playing darts, and watching Formula 1.
