Cristian Garcia is a right-handed pitcher from Chandler, Arizona, continuing his collegiate baseball journey at Hawai‘i Pacific after competing at Eastern Arizona College and College of the Desert. A Chandler High graduate, he developed his game under Coach Lopez while playing as both a pitcher and first baseman before moving on to pitch at the junior college level under Coach Chalmers (EAC) and Coach DiMateo (COD). His decision to become a Shark was driven by the draw of Hawai‘i, HPU’s culture, and the chance to contribute to the program’s success.
Outside baseball, Cristian enjoys active mornings that include walks and bike rides, and he stays competitive through pool, darts, spikeball, and cornhole. He loves Italian food—especially Fettuccine Alfredo—and never turns down chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream. His favorite movies are Bull Durham and Rush Hour. He listens to Bob Marley, Common Kings, Ziggy Marley, Kolohe Kai, and J Boog, and his favorite athletes are Nolan Arenado, Carlos González, Todd Helton, and Tim Lincecum.
In the future, Cristian hopes to be golfing on weekends, enjoying life, and supporting a happy, healthy family.
